Portoglou was responding to a posting on social media last Thursday about a woman being allegedly raped, killed and hanged on the fence by rascals at Vision City.
He said the only incident they were aware of was about a woman in the early hours of August 30, who was climbing the fence and lost her balance.
She fell on a “spear-like” end of the fence which pierced her right leg to the ankle.
Portoglou said security guards and the police lifted her from the fence and gave her first aid treatment before she was taken to the hospital.
“It was an accident which happened about a month ago,” he said.
“We are not sure why she climbed the fence.
“There was no raping, killing and hanging. Vision City is the safest shopping place in the city and probably in the country.
“We ensure people are safe. They are screened before entering the mall. We have guards at the mall to secure the environment and provide friendly shopping experience for everyone.”
