Business leaders to visit PNG Govt

THE Government of Papua New Guinea will be welcoming a distinguished group of business leaders to Port Moresby for a high-level trade and investment mission next month.

The meeting which will be held from the 5th to the 7th of October is organised by DMA (Developing Markets Associates) which will see some of the biggest companies in the world included in the visit to PNG.

In a statement released by DMA, the visit will also provide a unique opportunity for the PNG government to secure new investments and deepen relationships with biggest international blue-chip companies.

DMA stated that recently, The Economist has cited ONG as the world’s fastest-growing economy in 2015, with a projected GDP growth rate of 14.8 per cent.

This growth is alluded to the natural gas exports from the country’s $19 billion LNG project – the largest private investment in the nation’s history which commenced earlier this year whilst the country also boasts significant deep-sea copper and gold reserves and an agricultural sector ripe for investment.
