Corporate Sponsors Get Temporary Naming Rights to Pacific Games Venues

The Games Organising Committee is pleased that corporate PNG has joined with
the Government in significantly supporting the 2015 Pacific Games.
As with all corporate sponsors the GOC works closely with their marketing departments to
ensure that they gain maximum exposure for their contribution to the success of the Games.
In some instances this involves the temporary naming of venues for the two weeks of the
Games period.
This is the case with PNG Power Dome (Sir John Guise Indoor Stadium),
BSP Arena (Taurama Aquatic Centre) and BSP Stadium (Sir John Guise Outdoor Stadium).
GOC CEO, Peter Stewart, said “The temporary naming of these stadia during the Games
period, gives due recognition for the wonderful support that BSP Bank and PNG Power are
providing to the success of the Games.
Without the support of these two companies together with the other 20 Games sponsors, we could not provide the level of service and facilities that the athletes of the Pacific deserve to compete at their best.”
Post Games, the stadia will revert to their traditional names and will continue to serve the
community for many years to come.
The GOC takes this opportunity to also thank the other Games sponsors, Oil Search, Ok Tedi, Telikom, SP Brewery, Puma Energy, JDA Applus Velosi, Brian Bell Homecentres, Air Niugini, EMTEK, Daltron, Petromin, MRDC, Steamships,
Coca Cola, Fuji Xerox Business Centre, Hertz, Moore Printing, PMMI, PNG Ports and National Gaming Control Board.
