POWER WORK GIVEN TWO MONTHS
The responsibility to get Port Moresby hooked to additional power voltage as per the agreement between PNG Power and Exxon now rests on the power engineers.
According to PNG Power, they only have two months to get the first phase underway to supply 25megawatts of power to the city in time for the start of the Pacific Games.
Power workers along with and an Indian contractor firm are currently working around the clock putting up poles and running lines from the facility at the LNG Plant site, to the city power grid.
