PNG ARMY INVESTIGATING UNQUALIFIED RECRUITS

he PNGDF is currently investigating recruits that have lied about their age and joining the army.
From reports received, a couple of individuals who have signed up for recruitment are actually above and beyond the required age bracket; that is, 18 to 24 years.
Army’s Chief of Staff, Col. Mark Goina, says only people recruited for specialised jobs in the army are accepted for recruitment even if they are above the required age limit, but for the normal enlisted men, recruits will have to be within the age bracket.
