PNG CORPORATE HEALTH PLAN OU

The Health Department launched its 2013 to 2015 Corporate Plan on Friday, focusing on a new direction and standard for health service governance and leadership.

It also provides the platform on how the department as a lead sector organization, will work towards achieving new priorities under the Alotau-Accord and existing strategies of the National Health Plan 2011-2020.

Officially launching the plan, Minister for Health Michael Malabag says he's pleased to see that the Corporate Plan 2013 to 2015 focusing on the government's key priorities and welcome its commitment to good governance and enhancing partnerships with stakeholders. 

Mr Malabag says by the end of this plan, the health department will have journeyed half the distance in terms of service delivery. 

Mr Malabag challenged the executives and staff of the department to use the plan over the next three years to improve the lives of the people in rural areas and urban settlements. 

The Health Minister says the O'Neil/Dion government is committed to providing health services which are accessible and affordable hence he expects the free primary health care and subsidized specialists service policy to be fully implemented.

Health Secretary, Pasoce Kase, encourages everyone to take ownership of the Corporate Plan and demonstrate leadership and commitment to move the department's corporate vision forward.
