A MALAYSIAN national charged with forgery has been released on K5,000 bail and ordered to immediately surrender his passport.
Goh Kem San, from Kuala village, Terengganu, Malaysia, is alleged to have circulated an unauthorised and unapproved letter on June 21 in his office at Boroko, National Capital District.
Senior Committal Court magistrate Cosmar Bidar postponed the hearing to Nov 26.
San faces two counts of falsifying documents and false pretence.
San allegedly circulated a letter on a scanned Magarida Timbers Ltd letterhead to the managing director of Investment Promotion Authority and the PNG Forest Authority for the issue of foreign enterprise certificate for Delta Timber Ltd.
The chairman and seven directors signed the fake letter without reading the content.
Bidar, however, told San that these were allegations against him and police would have to produce ample evidence in court
