IPA AWARENESS ON

The Investment Promotion Authority I-P-A is embarking on an aggressive awareness campaign to promote its online registration system.

Managing Director Ivan Pomaleu announced, the roll out publicity will create awareness about the system, especially on how people can use it.

The Online Registry system will enable users to lodge company forms, file documents, conduct searches, obtain status of lodgments or certificates, extracts or make certain changes to the business entity.

Pomaleu says, the online registry solution is a change for development in the right direction for P-N-G and it's important this be embraced to progress in the modern age.

He says, the launch of the online registry system, is inline with moves to amend the Business Names and Companies Acts. 

"We have basically paved the way for the web enable registry system to come into operation and is backed by legislative amendments so that's why the announcement by the acting prime minister last week was important for this process. 

"We wanted that to happen first before we start to roll out the public relations exercise to create awareness in the country," Mr. Pomaleu said.

I-P-A will conduct this awareness through various mediums, including a business dinner.
