PNG tops Mini Pacific Games in Wallis and Futuna

Vanuatu will host the 10th Mini Pacific Games in 2017.

It's representatives received the Games flag from current host, Wallis and Futuna, during the closing ceremony of the event, yesterday.

The 20 participating Pacific countries, volunteers and Games officials, witnessed a colourful closing of the 9th Mini Pacific Games at Kafika stadium.

P-N-G finished first, winning 30 Gold, 26 Silver and 30 Bronze, a total of 87 medals.

Tahiti came second, gaining 29 gold, 9 silver and 5 bronze, followed by New Caledonia on third place, with 21 gold, 9 silver and 5 bronze.

Fiji finished fourth, with 13 gold,13 silver and 17 bronze, while Samoa on fifth place, won 13 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze.
