Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama arrives in Papua New Guinea later today to begin his four day state visit to the country.
FBC News reporter Mika Loga is in PNG’s capital Port Moresby and files this report:
“Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama arrives here at 12:30pm (2:30pm Fiji Time).
PNG will receive him with a guard of honour and will be hosted in a state dinner by his counterpart Prime Minister Peter O’Neil.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Bainimarama will be chief guest at the PNG/Fiji Business Council breakfast and at 10am he holds bilateral talk with Prime Minister O’Neil.
At three in the afternoon he will be at the signing of the B-mobile deal between the Fiji National Provident Fund and the PNG government.
The FNPF has been assessing the prospects of this b-mobile potential for sometime before deciding to buy into the PNG owned business.
Prime Minister Bainimarama’s programme on Tuesday concludes with an informal get together with the Fijian community in PNG.
On Wednesday, Bainimarama will open the Fiji trade mission to PNG before sharing a light moment with Sir Michael Somare over a cup of tea in the afternoon.
On Thursday, Bainimarama jets out of PNG for other official engagements overseas. FBC
