Quintessential Resources confirms copper-silver-molybdenum mineralisation in PNG
Quintessential Resources (ASX: QRL) has demonstrated continuous copper-silver-Molybdenum mineralisation along a 150 metre strike length at the Irak Prospect in Bismarck, Papua New Guinea.

Follow up sampling had returned an assay of 151 metres at 0.58% copper, 8 grams per tonne silver and 69ppmMolybdenum including 13 metres at 2.76% copper, 34.4g/t silver and 297ppm Molybdenum, 19 metres at 1.12% copper, 19.6g/t silver and 161ppm Molybdenum as well as 11 metres at 1.15% copper, 13.8g/t silver and 49ppm Molybdenum.

Peak individual outcrop assays were:
-    Copper & silver 1 metre at 7.58% copper, 68g/t silver, 0.1g/t gold, 230ppm Molybdenum, 2,450ppm zinc and 30 ppm arsenic;
-    Molybdenum 2 metres at 260ppm Molybdenum, 0.16% copper and 3g/t silver; and
-    Gold 2 metres at 0.49g/t gold, 2.56% copper, 43g/t silver and 100ppm Molybdenum.

One hundred continuous chip channel samples of various lengths were sampled along and across strike in November / December 2012 at the southern skarn, which hosts three internal high grade massive sulphide zones.

Silver rich skarns are geologically 'unusual' and this one appears to be relatively flatly south dipping towards the 'copper' dominant skarn located between 100 & 220m to the south: its thickness is difficult to determine because of its geometry, but appears to be relatively tabular / narrow.

Quintessential is also carrying out a reconnaissance diamond drilling program over the copper-silver-gold-Molybdenum magnetite mineralised skarns at the Irak Prospect.
